Our take
The Aipas M2 presents a very strong package for an electric mountain bike, especially with its 1800W peak motor and 36 mph top speed – that's serious power. The 85-mile pedal assist range is also excellent, promising long rides without range anxiety. I appreciate the 26-inch fat tires and front suspension for tackling various terrains comfortably. The 500 lbs max load capacity is a great bonus for heavier riders or those with gear. However, the bike's 90 lbs item weight is on the heavier side, and while the disc brakes are present, they are mechanical, which isn't ideal for the highest performance demands of mountain biking. The 'more than 5 hours' charging time is also a consideration.
